"Shitty First Drafts" Response

I really enjoyed reading this article because it spoke the truth about writing. Not many people can sit down and write an awesome book, or paper the first time around. I can't count the number of times that it takes me to write the first sentence of a paper that I am writing. If I didn't try to make the perfect paper the first time around I would enjoy writing so much more. Writing is a great way to express yourself and educate others on a specific topic. It shouldn't be hard, but it becomes hard when you yourself make it harder.

I think Dr. Hara wanted us to read this because it teaches us "that alomost all good writing begins with terrible first efforts". Writing a paper should not be hard to start because any ideas or thoughts you have should just be written down and perfected later. I never really thought of it like that, so hopefully this will help me in my future writing. As a future teacher, I hope to teach my students how easy writing can be.
